The wait is over, finally Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus started to receive Android 7 Nougat update. However, this is not the latest Android 7.1 Nougat but the Android 7.0 Nougat update for both the phone. AT&T and Sprint already released the update and its time for the Verizon users.
The update will be received by the users via OTA (Over the Air). Users will be notified in notification area about new software update. Verizon Samsung started rolling the update process but it may take few more days to come in your phone. So be patient and wait for the update to receive by your handset.
In the mean time you can manually check for the software update in your phone settings. To check manually for any software update, simply go to your phone settings, then go to about section and tap on system update or software update.
How to Update Android 7 Nougat via OTA (Over the Air):
- Turn on Internet connection or connect to WiFi on your device (should have stable Internet connection)
- Go to Settings>>About, and tap on the Update Option from there (If its show “The latest update have already been installed” message, then your device haven’t receive any OTA yet, check back later)
- Tap OK to start the download and installation process
- Once done, your device will reboot automatically
